I don't understand Republicans

I know it's been like 5 months since my last post.  I've felt like writing every day during Trump's presidency but by the time I sit down to write there is more breaking news about Russia or some other stupid thing Trump or one of his minions says.

But after his budget was released and the CBO score of the new GOP health care bill on top of it, I have to say I'm just so disgusted with what our country has become.  Every time the Republicans propose something, it's cutting things to the bone that most of our citizens rely on to survive--food stamps, disability, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, Meals on Wheels, Children's health care initiative, etc.  And it's not because we can't afford these things.  It's because they want to just give the savings in those cuts to the top 1%.  maybe 2%.

Everything Republican lawmakers do is to benefit their donors, corporations, and the uber wealthy. It's utterly ridiculous that people have to worry about going bankrupt because of medical bills. Obamacare was doing something to that end, but the GOP wants to undo it at the expense of giving more tax breaks to the wealthy, money from a closed loophole that helped Obamacare get off the ground and help millions of people in the first place.  the GOP majority is/was determined to get that back.

I'm not an expert in politics, but I have been following it long enough to know which side is right and which is wrong.  Our country has been on a slow path to destruction since Reagan's de-regulation and trickle down economics started to bring about the income inequality that divides us today.  that leads to more and more wealth concentration at the top, which leaves less for those in the middle class who need to spend money to make the economy thrive like it did in the 50's, 60's and 70's.  it gives the "robber barons" (that's what they are---the Kochs, Sheldon Adelson, Art Pope) more control and they just want far right political views to drive more wealth to them and wealth = power.

Meanwhile, people have to work three jobs to make a living wage, climb out of debt all their lives, and have a really shitty quality of life so that the rich can have more luxuries and more money which they don't pay their fair share of taxes on and park in the Cayman Islands.  And corporate run media like Fox News dusts up right wing hate and brainwashes a huge swath of people who have voted Republican all their lives or are sick of being in financial purgatory or are sick, period....and believe all the right wing propaganda that immigrants are stealing jobs, the middle class is supporting people who are on welfare or disability who don't deserve to be, and that our country is being crushed by the debt and deficit.  Even "liberal" MSNBC is hiring more and more right wingers.

If you are a liberal you believe in the need for the economy to work for everyone, and for everyone to have a fair shot at the so-called American Dream.  but it's hard to not be crushed under the weight of brutal right wing policy or projected policy that just flat out hurts our families and people.

And this is not even getting into the Trump Russia scandal, which unlike Benghazi is REAL FUCKING SCANDAL in which a foreign country with a murderous Russian authoritarian leader hacked our election and had a huge hand in its outcome.  And Putin had help from Trump, Page, Flynn, Manafort, Giuliani, Sessions, Pence, and many others.  Yes, it happened but the fact that it's taking a while to find actual evidence is because this is a huge case with so many tentacles that it will take years to finish....giving Trump's mouthpieces in Congress and his administration reason to defend their guy because supposedly no hard evidence has been found.  But anyone who knows right from wrong (and right from left) can see what happened here.  More on that in another post.

I wanna know why you people who voted for Trump and defend him and all of his right wing policies actually think that those policies are going to make our country better.  Feel free to comment below or on Facebook or Twitter, and let me know legitimately why you think we liberals are wrong about how our government should be run.  see if you can do it without saying "Hillary is crooked or Obama this or that."  Like how do you think this will all work best.  Because I just don't understand you guys.  I just don't.
